Apparently, I don't kill every plant I touch

I've never been good with plants. I always water too much or too little, and they never get enough sun, and I don't use fertilizer...You get the picture. So imagine my suprise when the herbs I got from my parents, and the tomato plant I bought, all grew! There is even a little green tomato! 

When Adam and I move to Olympia, we hope to find a place that has a patio or balcony. If we get one, I'll be trying to do a square foot garden. My hope is to eventually grow as much as we can. Both of us love the idea of living off our land and not being dependant on grocery stores for our food. Obviously we would need a lot of land to grow all these fruit, veggies, and nuts, but it is an eventual goal of ours.
